The Biggest Cruces Car Wash has announced a donation to the SkillsUSA Mayfield Chapter following a fundraising event. The car wash collected $500, which was matched by Roasted Rooster, resulting in a total contribution of $1,000.
Support for the event came from Roasted Rooster, Adams Media, and Roper’s Kar Wash and Lubricators. The check presentation occurred on October 29 at Mayfield High School. Students, teachers, community supporters, and representatives from the supporting businesses attended the ceremony.
Lensi Shakra, General Manager of Adams Media, stated: “We were thrilled to support the SkillsUSA Mayfield Chapter and Mayfield High School’s mission to provide a positive learning environment where students can thrive. Through collaboration and community partnerships, we helped create opportunities for academic and personal growth that lead to lifelong success.”
Edward Morelos, advisor for the SkillsUSA Mayfield Chapter, added: “We were extremely grateful for this support. This event not only raised funds for our organization, but also gave our students a chance to strengthen teamwork and build lasting relationships.”
Volunteers played an important role in making the event possible. The Roasted Rooster team included Olivia Belcher (Director of Marketing), Tony Miller (Co-Owner of Baked Chicken), Daniel Gonzales (General Manager), and Julio Perez (Team Member). The Roper’s Kar Wash and Lubricators team consisted of Rudy Ramirez (Owner), Clarissa Ramirez (Manager), Aldo Avalos, Gabriel Veheyen, and Pete Frias as Senior Technicians.
