A fire broke out early Monday morning at a residence on the 4000 block of Victorian Red Place in Las Cruces. Firefighters responded to the scene just before 2 a.m. on August 4, 2025.

When crews arrived, they found a fire burning on the back porch of the home. The first engine company quickly deployed a hose line and was able to knock down the flames. According to officials, “The fire was brought under control within ten minutes.”

Firefighters stopped the blaze from spreading into the interior of the house and were able to limit further property damage. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
