Rep. John Block, a Republican member of the New Mexico State House representing the 51st district since 2023, has recently shared updates on his legislative activities and political engagements through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On July 31, 2025, Block described his recent work with the Courts, Corrections, and Justice Committee in Mescalero and Roswell. He stated: “Been working too hard to take pictures, but for the last two days, I’ve been in Mescalero and Roswell for the Courts, Corrections, and Justice Committee fighting for your rights and making darn sure Alamogordo values are heard despite the chair’s condescension and the desperate”.
In another post dated August 3, 2025, Block reflected on attending a national convention in Nashville. He wrote: “Grateful to have been able to attend the @yrnational convention in Nashville! Cool city, great food, top-notch music, and friendly folks. Nice to run into so many of my conservative friends from across the USA! Thanks to Jarrod Rodriguez for leading the NM delegation and all of”.
Later that same day, Block addressed health care issues facing New Mexico. He posted: “Despite what the chair of the health committee claims, NM’s health care crisis is real. The ONLY way to begin fixing it is malpractice reform. If NM is bleeding doctors, it doesn’t matter how much we pay or incentivize when they have targets on their backs”.
Block was elected to represent New Mexico’s 51st House district in 2023 after succeeding Rachel Black as state representative.
