Most City of Las Cruces offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in observance of Veterans Day. Emergency services such as police and fire departments will continue to operate without interruption.

The closures will affect several city facilities, including A Fielder Memorial Safe Haven, City Hall, Castaneda Service Center (Parks & Recreation Administration Offices), East Mesa Recreation Center, Youth Development & Diversion Learning Center, Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, the Las Cruces Museum System (Branigan Cultural Center, Museum of Art, Museum of Nature and Science, Railroad Museum), all public libraries (Thomas Branigan Memorial Library and Sage Café branch), Meerscheidt Recreation Center, Rio Grande Theatre, all Senior Programs facilities and services, South Central Solid Waste Authority administrative offices, Visit Las Cruces office, and Transit Administrative Offices.

Despite these closures, essential services will remain available. Solid waste collection for both residential and commercial customers scheduled for Tuesday will proceed as usual. The South Central Solid Waste Transfer Station at 2865 W. Amador Ave., Corralitos Landfill, and county collection sites will be open during normal service hours. Scheduled curbside collection services are not affected.

Recreational facilities such as the Las Cruces Natatorium and Regional Aquatic Center will be open from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Veterans Day.
