The City of Las Cruces has released the draft West Picacho and Motel Boulevard Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MRA) Plan for public review. Residents are invited to provide feedback on the plan until October 29.

Community input is considered an important part of the planning process. The city encourages residents to share their thoughts about the proposed redevelopment area.

“The draft West Picacho and Motel Boulevard Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MRA) Plan is now open for public review. Community feedback is an important part of this process, and residents are encouraged to share their thoughts,” according to a statement from the city.

Comments can be submitted through various channels provided by the city during the review period.

This initiative follows previous community investment efforts, including a voter-approved 0.325% Gross Receipts Tax increase in November 2024 aimed at funding critical projects in Las Cruces.

The MRA plan is part of ongoing efforts by the City of Las Cruces to involve residents in local development decisions and improve urban areas.
