The Las Cruces Police Department is set to discuss its community advocate program during the upcoming Bridging the Badge livestream, scheduled for Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The event will be broadcast live on the City of Las Cruces’ YouTube channel and the LCPD’s Facebook page starting at 5:30 p.m.

Community advocates work alongside officers and support a range of events throughout the year. These include MOC on the Block, Lunchtime Lemonade, Ident-A-Child, and National Night Out.

According to organizers, “Bridging the Badge livestreams are intended to promote understanding, collaboration, and informed dialogue on topics important to residents of Las Cruces. Each livestream is anticipated to last about one hour.”

This series aims to foster communication between law enforcement and local residents by providing information about department initiatives and encouraging public engagement.
