The Las Cruces Police Department is distributing a limited number of window decals in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The initiative aims to show the department’s support for survivors, raise awareness about breast cancer, and recognize the efforts of researchers working toward a cure.
According to the American Cancer Society, more than 315,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in the United States in 2025. October is observed as Breast Cancer Awareness Month nationwide.
The decals can be picked up at the Front Station Office of the Las Cruces Police Department, located at 217 E. Picacho Ave. The office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday. The department noted that supplies are limited and decals will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
“The window decals are intended to show LCPD’s support for survivors, bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and support researchers who are working to find a cure for the disease,” stated the department.
