Las Cruces police issue 29 citations in Lohman Avenue traffic operation

The Las Cruces Police Department’s Traffic Unit conducted a one-hour enforcement operation on Thursday afternoon along Lohman Avenue, resulting in 29 citations. According to the department, 10 of the citations were for speeding, nine were for driving without proper registration, and four were for operating a vehicle without proof of insurance.

Other offenses cited during the operation included using a cell phone while driving, failing to maintain traffic lane, and having a modified exhaust.

The enforcement took place along north Solano Drive starting at 3 p.m. on October 9, 2025. The department stated that similar operations are expected in the coming weeks.
