Montana Parkinson-Lubold of New Mexico State University was named to the 2026 Conference USA Women’s Tennis All-Academic Team, according to an April 10 announcement from the league.
The recognition highlights student-athletes who have shown strong performance both in academics and athletics. Parkinson-Lubold is one of twelve student-athletes selected from six schools across Conference USA for this year’s team, with Delaware having three honorees.
Parkinson-Lubold, a sophomore biochemistry major, has maintained a 3.971 grade point average while competing in all seventeen matches for the Aggies during the 2026 season. She has played singles at positions two, three, and four, as well as holding down the number two doubles spot. On court, she leads her team with a nine-win and three-loss singles record and an eight-win and four-loss mark in doubles play. Her season included a five-match winning streak in singles competition against Texas State, UTSA, New Mexico, Abilene Christian University (ACU), and Utah Tech between February 2 and March 5.
This selection continues New Mexico State women’s tennis program’s tradition of academic achievement. The Aggies have had at least one player on the Conference USA All-Academic Team each year since joining the conference for the 2023-24 season. Previous honoree Lisa Zhu earned back-to-back selections before Parkinson-Lubold.
