NM State men’s tennis team secured two victories against Western New Mexico on Saturday at the NM State Tennis Center. The Aggies won the first match 7-0 and followed up with a 4-0 win in the second contest.

In the opening match, NM State swept all three doubles courts to earn the first point. Holland Snell and Lance Urlaub defeated Mael Houee and Yannik Rogulski 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. Roko Stipetic and Tobias Wallin won 6-2 at No. 2, while Patrick Lohmann and Matias Rojas completed a 6-1 victory at No. 3.

The Aggies continued their strong performance in singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets. Snell beat Houee 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, Wallin defeated Rogulski 6-4, 6-0 on court two, Stipetic earned a 7-5, 6-2 win over Vriends at No. 3, and Urlaub posted a decisive result against Guta at No. 4 singles with scores of 6-1, 6-0. Rojas won his match against Lund-Kuhl with a score of 6-2, 6-1 on court five, while Laurendi Fischer finished off the sweep by defeating Bey in two sets.

In the second match of the day, NM State again took control early by winning both completed doubles matches—Snell and Urlaub prevailed over Guta and Vriends with a score of 6-1 at No. 2 doubles; Fischer and Lohmann matched that result against Bey and Lund-Kuhl on court three to secure the doubles point.

Singles play saw Snell remain unbeaten for the day as he overcame Rogulski with scores of 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles to give NM State an early lead in the second dual match-up. Stipetic followed with a win over Lund-Kuhl (6-2, 6‑1) at No. 4 position before Rojas clinched victory for NM State by defeating Guta (6‑1, 6‑1) on court five.

After reaching four points to secure overall victory in Match Two, remaining matches featuring Wallin, Urlaub and Lohmann were left unfinished.

Looking ahead, NM State will travel to California next week for its next competition—the Sacramento State Invite—scheduled for March 6–7 as part of their regular season schedule.
