NM State opened its weekend series against Middle Tennessee with a 4–0 shutout victory on April 17 at Blue Raider Softball Field in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Aggies scored early and relied on strong pitching to maintain control throughout the game.

The outcome is significant as it gives NM State momentum in the series and highlights the team’s effective offense and pitching performance. Early runs helped set the tone for the match, while steady defense kept Middle Tennessee from scoring.

In the first inning, NM State scored three runs with contributions from Lauren Garcia, Devin Elam, and Johnna Aragon. Kendal Lunar added another run in the fifth inning by driving in Faith Aragon with a single. Pitcher Faith Aragon delivered a complete-game shutout, allowing only two hits and striking out ten batters.
