Representative Rebecca Dow, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent New Mexico’s 38th House district, has recently posted several statements on social media addressing federal programs for rural hospitals, government accountability, and parental involvement in education.

On December 31, 2025, Dow highlighted new federal efforts aimed at supporting rural healthcare providers. She stated, “This is one of two programs the federal government is releasing to stabilize and strengthen rural hospitals.”

Continuing her commentary on public policy, Dow addressed concerns over government spending on January 2, 2026. She wrote, “That will preach. We must reduce waste, fraud, and abuse.”

Later that day, she commented on the role of parents in education outcomes. In her post dated January 2, 2026, Dow said, “How was this even in doubt? Anyone wishing to improve student outcomes must acknowledge the research- parents are their child’s primary educator. Parents play the greatest role in child outcomes. @DeAngelisCorey @RioGrandeFndn @oak4nm @TheNewMexicoSun”

Dow began serving as a state representative after being elected in November 2025 to replace Tara Jaramillo as the representative for New Mexico’s 38th House district.
