Representative Rebecca Dow, a Republican elected in 2025 to the New Mexico State House for District 38, recently shared updates on her activities and concerns through several posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On August 28, 2025, Dow posted about her participation in a national policy event: “For the next few days I’m in DC, participating in the @FiftyCAN Believe In Better Policy Maker Fellowship.
Kicking the event off is @marcportermagee, CEO and founder of 50 Can Action Fund. @TheNewMexicoSun @NMKidsCAN @ThinkNewMexico @RioGrandeFndn @oak4nm https://t.co/It9ZbmhjEO”. The post highlighted her engagement with educational policy organizations and referenced Marc Porter Magee’s leadership at FiftyCAN.
Later that same day, Dow addressed an issue regarding state government action: “I just can’t! Why in the heck is MLG not calling a special today to fix CYFD? I’ll clear my schedule NOW! @ABQJournal @danieljchacon @DanBoydNM @KKOBradio @krqe @koat7news
https://t.co/vw9REX9XXI“. In this statement dated August 28, she questioned why Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham had not called a special session to address issues with New Mexico’s Children, Youth & Families Department (CYFD), expressing her willingness to participate immediately.
The following morning on August 29, Dow posted a brief comment: “Telling! https://t.co/E4nec8jv9E”.
Dow began serving as representative for New Mexico’s 38th district after being elected in 2025. She succeeded Tara Jaramillo in this role.
