Representative Rebecca Dow, a Republican member of the New Mexico State House for the 38th district, shared several updates on her social media accounts between August 31 and September 1, 2025. Her posts covered topics ranging from a visit to the Museum of the Bible to reflections on energy policy in New Mexico.

On August 31, Dow posted about her experience at a museum exhibit: “I finally made it to the Museum of the Bible. Short on time, I went straight to the CS Lewis exhibit and then to the Gutenberg Press. On CS Lewis – Once an atheist, Lewis became a Christian. He realized that the claims of Christ made the most sense of history, morality, and https://t.co/WH3UKjAqxQ”.

Later that day, she highlighted developments related to indigenous languages: “So exciting to learn that the Bible is currently being translated into Cherokee, the native language of my ancestors https://t.co/pQfnpmIVO8” (September 1).

On September 1, Dow commented on energy efficiency debates in New Mexico: “Cooking with gas. Step 1: Turn knob. Boil water. Cooking with electric Step 1: Burn gas at plant Step 2: Boil water at plant Step 3: Spin turbine Step 4: Ship electrons Step 5: Lose half of it Step 6: Boil water. Democrats in NM call this efficiency, but it’s not.”

Dow was elected in 2025 as a Republican representative for New Mexico’s 38th House district, succeeding Tara Jaramillo.
