Rep. John Block, a Republican representing New Mexico’s 51st House district, posted several updates on his social media account on October 18, 2025, addressing public safety concerns and legislative activities.

In a post from the afternoon of October 18, Block warned followers about potential unrest in the streets. He wrote, “Be safe out there, patriots, as Hamas radicals with their “intifada” and Antifa are set to hit the streets with their violent riots today. Steer clear of them and pray for the safety of Law Enforcement! “ (October 18, 2025).

Later that day, Block shared information about his recent legislative work. He stated, “This week, I worked hard for YOU attending the Radioactive and Hazardous Materials committee in Las Cruces, where I pushed back on eco-leftist policies such as attacks on water reuse for oil and gas, and the Courts, Corrections, and Justice Committee in Santa Fe, where I pressed https://t.co/D2gJ7CF9Wr” (October 18, 2025).

He also posted a third message containing only links: “https://t.co/eup7CgbXt3 https://t.co/fiudFKU2Gh” (October 18, 2025).

Block was elected to the New Mexico State House in 2023 after replacing former state representative Rachel Black. As a member of various committees including those focused on hazardous materials and justice issues, he has been active in voicing opposition to certain environmental policies affecting water reuse for oil and gas operations.
