Rep. John Block, a Republican member of the New Mexico State House representing the 51st district since 2023, shared updates and commentary on social media regarding local infrastructure projects and recent events.

On September 12, 2025, Block described his participation in a ceremony and tour with regional officials: “Yesterday, with the NM Finance Authority Oversight Committee, we attended the Columbus Facultative Wastewater Pond Project ribbon-cutting ceremony, then took a tour of the Columbus Port of Entry. Thanks to CBP and regional officials for the warm welcome and amazing work y’all do! https://t.co/izaKOcCkVW” (posted September 12, 2025).

Later that day, he posted two links without additional commentary: “https://t.co/siaJZ34zy1 https://t.co/6IwcHBVhxW” (posted September 12, 2025).

In another post on September 12, Block responded to an incident involving someone named Lucas: “Evil! Lucas, whoever this person is, has proven himself to be scum of the earth — that’s probably too good of a description for him. Everyone needs to denounce these blood-thirsty, maniacal, fringe groups/people. https://t.co/JVzfdb1JWP” (posted September 12, 2025).

Block was elected to his seat in the New Mexico State House in 2023 after succeeding Rachel Black as representative for District 51.
