Rep. John Block, a Republican member of the New Mexico State House representing the 51st district since 2023, recently shared a series of posts on his social media account commenting on political developments and events.

On April 8, 2026, Block addressed a transition in office with the statement: “Welcome! Hope you’ll be better than your psychopathic narcissist predecessor. Go get ‘em, Clay!!”

Two days later, on April 10, he commented on Senate leadership and congressional behavior by posting: “Haha good for the @NRSC ED! Spot-on. He needs to be replaced by Congresswoman Letlow — who won’t obstruct the President’s agenda in the Senate, and certainly won’t try to convict him. Cassidy is an arrogant man, and he deserves nothing but defeat for his grandstanding behavior.”

That same day, Block also highlighted his attendance at an event at Holloman Air Force Base: “What a great day to be at Holloman Air Force Base with Deputy Commander Col. Stripling and other officials for the grand opening of Starbase, the Department of War’s premier STEM youth outreach initiative! Thanks to the International Space Hall of Fame and all the partners who”

Block was elected to his current position in 2023 after replacing former state representative Rachel Black.
