Rep. John Block, a Republican serving New Mexico’s 51st House district since 2023, shared several posts on his Twitter account in early August 2025 expressing support for Texas leadership and commenting on political developments related to redistricting.
On August 4, 2025, Block posted “YES https://t.co/lV4mvhuWr9”.
The following day, August 5, he reflected on a previous meeting with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and commented on partisan approaches to redistricting: “Proud to have met @GregAbbott_TX back in 2015—a principled and strong fighter for his state.
While leftists gerrymandered NM beyond recognition, they attack TX for simply ensuring fair representation.
Dems made the rules. Now they’re mad Republicans, are playing by them. https://t.co/uBrz4lsHMA“
Later that same day, Block posted another message of support: “Hero! https://t.co/k5xoybBXt0”.
Block was elected to the New Mexico State House in 2023, succeeding Rachel Black as representative for the state’s 51st district.
