Rep. John Block, a Republican who has represented New Mexico’s 51st House district since 2023, published several posts on X (formerly Twitter) in mid-August expressing his views on executive actions taken by public officials and showing support for former President Donald Trump.

On August 13, Block questioned New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s criticism of former President Donald Trump’s use of executive action. He wrote, ” @GovMLG hates on Trump two days ago for properly using executive action to fight crime in DC Then today does THE EXACT SAME THING in Española. How is anyone buying what she’s selling? https://t.co/kWqnk6Pvn0″.

Two days later, on August 14, he posted another message referencing the previous discussion: “Shot Chaser https://t.co/eyzfPGAYDF”.

On August 15, Block voiced his support for Donald Trump with the statement: “I’m so extraordinarily proud of our President Donald J. Trump! https://t.co/XOZZLvLKZ9”.

Block began serving as a member of the New Mexico State House in 2023 after being elected to represent District 51, succeeding Rachel Black.
