Rep. John Block, a Republican representing New Mexico’s 51st House district since 2023, posted a series of tweets on September 30, 2025, expressing criticism of government operations and the state’s governor.

In a tweet at 16:07 UTC, Block wrote, “Yes! Shrinking bloated government by having the trash take itself out https://t.co/sVGAyXkO3e”.

At 17:42 UTC on the same day, Block added further criticism directed at the state legislature and governor: “There is nothing special about this session except for more WOKE BS from a lame-duck, termed-out, washed-up governor. Expect to defend EVERY WORD OF YOUR PROPOSALS. EVERY WORD. https://t.co/EiE2mLZWRg”.

Block has represented New Mexico’s 51st House district since his election in 2023, succeeding Rachel Black.
