Rep. John Block, a Republican member of the New Mexico State House representing the 51st district since 2023, has posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing issues related to immigration enforcement and support for Israel.
On September 25, 2025, Block wrote: “They all are trying to get ICE agents murdered, and it’s disgusting. EVIL! https://t.co/aJFaurfD1O”.
Shortly after, he posted another message asking: “Anyone have a definitive list of pro-Hamas/Palestine artists so I can block them from ever being added to my rotation on Spotify? Thanks!” (September 25, 2025).
Later that day, Block expressed solidarity with a colleague facing threats. He stated: “I stand with my colleague, @ElectJayCBlock, as he is also now getting death threats following a hateful TikTok video that is inciting violence against him — just because he stands with the Jewish people of Israel, as I do. May God protect all of us amid this hate and violence.” (September 25, 2025).
Block began serving in the New Mexico State House in 2023 after winning election to represent District 51. He succeeded Rachel Black in this position.
