Rep. John Block, a Republican representing New Mexico’s 51st House district since 2023, recently shared updates from his activities in the state legislature and community engagement through several social media posts.
On August 11, 2025, Block recapped the first day of the NM Finance Authority Oversight Committee meeting at Los Luceros Historic Site in Alcalde with colleagues including Rep. Lord: “What a jam-packed, productive first day at NM Finance Authority Oversight Committee at Los Luceros Historic Site in Alcalde with @Lord4NM and my other colleagues. Here are some pictures of the beautiful scenery.”
The following day, on August 12, he emphasized his commitment to public service alongside fellow legislator Lord: “It’s a blessing and honor to serve alongside Rep. @Lord4NM in the New Mexico House, doing the work of We The People and SHOWING UP for YOU — always! We are YOUR voices in the Roundhouse!”
On August 13, Block posted a brief note highlighting local wildlife: “Bats are so cool! “
Block was elected to represent New Mexico’s 51st House district in 2023, succeeding Rachel Black as state representative.
