Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 11. 

WE HAVE GONE VIRTUAL!

EQUIP YOUR CHILD FOR SUCCESS—VIRTUALLY!

Big Brothers Big Sisters brings 31 years of experience right into your home in our S.T.A.R.S. school-based mentoring program’s new virtual format.

WHY SIGN YOUR CHILD UP?

 Help them do better in school and have better self-esteem

 Equip your child with a caring, dedicated mentor

 Safe Zoom sessions are facilitated by a professional Program Specialist

 Set them on a path to even greater success

MAYBE YOU WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER TO BE A BIG?

 Requires one hour per week

 A rewarding experience for any adult or High School student 15 years old or older

 Your match “Little” will share common interests

 BBBS provides ongoing support and training

EVERYONE CAN HELP US MATCH MORE CHILDREN

 Recruit friends, family, or co-workers to be a volunteer

 Make a financial contribution
