The Challenger Learning Center of Las Cruces is set to host Earth Odyssey Challenger Day Camps on August 19th and 30th at the LCPS Teaching & Learning Center, located at 505 S. Main St., Suite 400. Parents or guardians must designate an authorized individual for drop-off and pick-up of campers. Accompanying adults are required to sign campers in and out and present a photo ID.

Registration requires the submission of a form and a $30 payment to the Challenger Learning Center of Las Cruces. Scholarships are available by contacting Dr. Stephanie Hofacket at shofacket@lcps.net. Registration for the August 19th camp must be completed by August 16th via this link: https://forms.gle/Q7pEmWqRPBdE7TjB7, while registration for the August 30th camp is due by August 28th through this link: https://forms.gle/XwfBRtYexN38BYUN8.

Each camp has a capacity limit of 16 participants. Payments can preferably be made by credit card over the phone, with staff calling to process payments, but checks and cash payments are also accepted in person at the Challenger Learning Center Office.

The camps aim to provide both enjoyment and academic enrichment for students, who are expected to adhere to rules emphasizing respect, responsibility, and readiness. In case of disciplinary issues, parents or guardians will be contacted. Campers should not bring toys, books, electronic devices, or other personal items as they will engage with various hands-on materials provided during the sessions.

Participants need to bring their own lunch since food service is unavailable; peanut or tree nut products should not be included.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing before the start date of the camp session. Refunds will take approximately 60 days to process.

For further information, contact Lorena Ybarra at 575-527-5855.
