Las Cruces High School will face Mayfield High on Friday, Aug. 23, in a highly anticipated rivalry game that has been a significant event since 1965. The game will commence the 2024 football season at 7 p.m. at the Field of Dreams, located at the corner of Motel Boulevard and Tashiro Road.

Las Cruces will be designated as the home team, with fans seated on the west side of the stands, while Mayfield supporters will occupy the east side. Gates are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m., and parking availability will be limited. No recreational vehicles (RVs), tents, or canopies are permitted, and each parking space is restricted to one vehicle.

Tickets for the game are priced at $5 for adults and $2 for students. All Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS) middle and high school athletic events have transitioned to a cashless system; therefore, tickets must be purchased online using a provided link. LCPS also offers annual passes that include 125 tickets to any athletic event for students at a rate of $50 plus a processing fee of $4.50. For adults, annual passes cost $150 with an additional processing fee of $9.50. These passes are non-transferable and valid only for pre-district, district, and local play.

All LCPS athletic venues now enforce a clear bag policy; further details can be found in an official news release. Despite this policy, all bags remain subject to search.

Parking regulations stipulate no RVs or large setups in the lots and limit each space to one vehicle.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., providing ample time for attendees to settle before kickoff.
