The City of Las Cruces and Las Cruces Public Schools have announced a collaboration in 2025 to honor and support young achievers. The initiative, named "Thrive with Cariño," combines LCPS's Vision Thrive with the City's Cariño Initiative. This partnership aims to recognize students who make significant contributions, similar to how outstanding city employees are acknowledged through Cariño.
Mayor Eric Enriquez and Superintendent Ignacio Ruiz have expressed their enthusiasm for this joint effort. They believe it will uplift and inspire the youth, contributing to a brighter future for the community.
