The Quality of Life Department and the City Art Board have announced the winners of the Art Stop 2025 Bus Shelter Art Exhibit. The selected artworks will be displayed at various bus shelters throughout the city.

The artwork "Ocotillo" by Coy Lowther will be showcased at the bus shelter located at Water Street and Griggs Avenue, near the former El Paso Electric Co. parking lot. "Take a Walk" by Yalet Yanar is set to be exhibited at University Avenue and Jordan Road, opposite the New Mexico State University Bookstore.

Keena Wolff's piece "Dreamcatcher" will find its place at Walnut Street and Lohman Avenue. Citlali Delgado's "Second Sight" is scheduled for display at Valley Drive and Hadley Avenue, close to Save Mart store. Meanwhile, Jose Saldivar's "NM Gnome" will appear at Del Rey Boulevard and Mars Avenue, near the Veterans Administration clinic.

Josh Grant's artwork titled "Gambels Quail" will be exhibited on Lohman Avenue near Mountain View.

The public art program, known as “Art Stop,” aims to integrate art along city bus routes. A jury selected these original artworks from submissions gathered through a call for artists. The pieces are slated for installation in six pre-selected bus shelters across each City Council district by early February and are expected to remain in place for approximately 12 months.

For additional information regarding this exhibit, Ceci Vasconcellos can be contacted at (575) 541-2780/TTY 711 or via email at [email protected].
