New Mexico Senator Ben Ray Luján invites you to attend a webinar to discuss what actions you need to take to benefit from federal and state student debt relief opportunities.
After a message from the presidents of NEA-NM and AFT-NM, officials from the U.S. Department of Education will walk us through what is needed to apply for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) waiver before it expires on October 31, 2022, and how this limited opportunity can bring you closer to complete forgiveness of your federal loans after 10 years of public service.
We will also share the most recent updates from the Biden Administration’s Student Debt Relief program, including what actions you need to take to apply for $10,000 or $20,000 of forgiveness, who is eligible, and more. The Cabinet Secretary of the New Mexico Higher Education Department will also review state-sponsored loan repayment programs available to New Mexicans. Finally, we will share what Senator Luján is doing in Washington D.C. to deliver targeted debt relief to educators.
Join us for this special opportunity to talk directly with federal and state officials and get your questions answered by registering in advance and spreading the word with others who might benefit from these student debt relief programs.
