Congratulations to the Newest Firefighters in Doña Ana County!

Congratulations to the newest firefighters in Doña Ana County! Eleven graduates completed a 14-week-long Fire Academy and are certified by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress, a not-for-profit, peer-driven, self-governing system of fire service. In addition to firefighting, these graduates are also certified in hazardous materials or hazmat, emergency vehicle driving, auto extrication and wildland fires.

Graduates will be assigned throughout Doña Ana County, including the 24/7 station at the Santa Teresa Jetport, starting Sunday, Oct. 23.
