Police Department Hosts a 1-Hour Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program

From December 21, 2022

The NMSU Police Department hosts a 1-hour alcohol and drug awareness program each semester for the university community to learn facts about alcohol and drug issues students commonly encounter, and also how to look for signs and symptoms of abuse.

NMSU Police Officer David Paz prioritizes the safety of the campus community by actively detecting impaired driving. He likes to educate others of the effects of impaired driving and deterrence. In 2019, Officer Paz attended an Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement course and recently completed his certification in K-9 bomb detection handler duties.

Please help us congratulate Officer Paz for his dedication to public safety!
