ICYMI: Local and state officials were on hand Monday for the groundbreaking for a new fire station! A 12,000 square foot building, Fire Station #2 will be located north of Anthony, NM and will house full-time and volunteer firefighters who can assist with fires, medical services, and support for other regional emergency responses.
Expected to open in 12 months, the construction project will cost $5,501.850 paid from the County's Fire Tax fund. Additional financial support was provided by Senator Carrie Hamblen in the amount of $300,000 and $100,000 from State Representative Doreen Gallegos to furnish and equip the new station.
