The City of Las Cruces is undertaking an update to the City's Land Development Code. The project, Realize Las Cruces, includes regulations that govern the use and development of land within the city limits and surrounding areas in some cases.
A second version of the complete draft of the revised development code is now available for review and comment. The revised draft is also available at City Hall, Community Development, Suite 110, 700 N. Main St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is also accessible via the project website at www.realizelascruces.com.
A status presentation of the Realize Las Cruces project will be made to the City Council at their June 24, 2024 Work Session. The work session will be held at City Hall, 700 N. Main St., at 1 p.m.
Realize Las Cruces specifically involves land development codes related to historic preservation, zoning regulations, subdivision regulations, development standards (roadway, transportation analysis, parking drainage and stormwater management), landscaping, parks and trails, outdoor lighting signs, and the zoning map for the city.
