The Scale Up New Mexico program at New Mexico State University's Arrowhead Center has successfully concluded its fourth 2024 cohort of the Venture Funding Sprint acceleration program. The initiative, partially funded by the United States Economic Development Administration, equips tech startup founders in New Mexico with vital skills for engaging with investors and understanding financial mechanisms.

The program is part of Scale Up NM's broader mission to support early-stage startups. This year, ten startups from diverse industries such as autonomous systems, fintech, healthtech, and cleantech participated in the cohort. These startups are in their early development stages and preparing to launch fundraising efforts.

Carlos Murguia, Scale Up NM program manager, expressed satisfaction with the progress made by participants: “We are thrilled by the incredible progress these startups have made throughout the Venture Funding Sprint.” Dana Catron, interim deputy director of Arrowhead Center, highlighted the innovation emerging from this group: “This diverse group...showcases the innovative talent emerging from New Mexico.”

The Venture Funding Sprint provided an environment for participants to engage with mentors and experienced entrepreneurs. Michael E. Hendricks, CEO at Allcanza, praised the program: “I would wholeheartedly recommend this Venture Funding Sprint to other tech startups.”

For further information about Scale Up NM, interested parties can contact Carlos Murguia or visit Arrowhead Center's website.
