A significant event in the realm of student filmmaking recently took place at Cineport 10, Allen Theatres. The venue hosted the first-ever "Tell the Story LCPS Film Showcase" on May 24-25. This showcase featured three screenings of short films crafted by students across different school levels: elementary, middle, and high school.

The film showcase was divided into two competitions. One involved a 48-hour challenge where participants had to create a film within two days. The other competition gave students a longer period of 168 hours to produce their entries.

LCPS.TV has released a trailer highlighting scenes from this inaugural event held at Cineport 10. It showcases Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS) students making their entrance on the red carpet and captures the overall ambiance of the occasion.

The official director's cut is set to follow soon, offering an extensive look at the red-carpet experience. It will include interviews with participating students and reactions from those who won awards in each competition category.

The trailer for this director’s cut has been made available by LCPS.TV.
