The City’s Parks and Recreation Department will open registration for community garden plots to the public on February 3, 2025. Plots are available at Jardín de Las Esperanza, located at 341 E. Picacho Ave., and Tony Gomez Park, situated at 2250 S. Espina St.
Individuals registering will be allowed one plot each initially. If there are remaining plots, a second plot can be registered starting in March. Registration is open from Monday to Thursday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and on Fridays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the address of 1501 E. Hadley Ave., Suite A.
Each plot costs $15 for the growing season that spans from February through December. Payments can be made using cash, credit cards, or checks. Registrants are required to present a form of identification when reserving a plot.
