On February 19, 2025, Vasquez tweeted about a new aerostat pilot project in southern New Mexico. He emphasized that this technology "saves lives, keeps our border safe, and modernizes security operations." He advocates for increased investments in technology as a means to progress. "Last year, I secured a new aerostat pilot project in southern New Mexico - technology that saves lives, keeps our border safe, and modernizes security operations. Investments in technology are the way forward."

In another tweet dated February 22, 2025, Vasquez expressed concern over federal firings affecting his constituents. Over 500 individuals reached out to him with stories of hardship due to these job losses in communities such as Carlsbad and Socorro. He criticized the Department of Energy (DOGE) for its role in these layoffs: " Over the last week, over 500 worried constituents contacted me to share their stories and pain due to federal firings. Communities like Carlsbad, Grants, Socorro, and others are losing hundreds of jobs. DOGE’s unchecked power is hurting New Mexico and our nation."

Later on February 22, he highlighted the plight of farmers like Ed Ogaz from Seco Spice Co., who worry about sustaining their businesses amid workforce challenges. Vasquez called for immigration reform and support for local families to ensure food security: "Like many farmers, Seco Spice Co-founder Ed Ogaz is concerned about the future workforce that will keep his family business alive. We need real solutions to keep food on our tables..."
