The 2022 Tax Notices have been mailed and the deadline to pay is December 10, 2022. Because December 10 falls on a Saturday this year, payments dated December 12 will be accepted without penalty or interest fees. Any payments received after that date are subject to penalty and interest charges. The New Mexico Property Tax Code does not allow the County Treasurer to forgive penalty and interest once it is incurred. The LOS ANGELES, CA return address on your payment coupon IS CORRECT. For faster and more secure processing, we are asking our taxpayers to mail payments directly to our bank's processing center. Rest assured, your money does not leave the County and we are not outsourcing collections.
If you prefer not to mail your payment, you may pay online, by phone, via local drop-boxes, or by teller. (Wait times may be longer than usual.) Tellers are available at the Government Center in Las Cruces, as well as drop-off locations in the City of Anthony; the Village of Hatch; Lake Section Water in Chaparral; and CRRUA in Sunland Park.
