- we were the 47th state to join the Union,
- we are the 5th largest state in land mass,
- the first atomic bomb exploded here,
- you can see five different states from the top of Capulin Volcano National Monument,
- we host the largest hot air balloon festival in the world, and
- we are celebrating our 111th birthday today!
