The Scale Up New Mexico program recently celebrated the completion of its Business Model Sprint business acceleration program by its first 2024 cohort. The initiative, aimed at supporting founders of tech startups in New Mexico, helped startups advance in understanding their customer base, achieving product-market fit, and developing efficient sales tactics.

Carlos Murguia, the Scale Up NM program manager, expressed his excitement about the progress made by the startups, stating, “We are incredibly thrilled with the remarkable progress our startups have made throughout the Business Model Sprint. This cohort's ability to embrace mentorship, apply new knowledge and pivot towards success showcases the vibrant potential within New Mexico’s tech startup ecosystem.”

The startups in the cohort represented a variety of industries such as healthcare, photonics, aerospace, energy, life sciences, agriculture, and cloud computing. Dana Catron, deputy director of Arrowhead Center, shared her anticipation for the future of these ventures, saying, “We look forward to seeing how these promising ventures continue to evolve and make impactful strides in their respective industries.”

Adam White, co-founder of TruFit, highlighted the benefits of the Business Model Sprint for entrepreneurs, stating, “Business Model Sprint helps entrepreneurs to dive more deeply into evaluating their company and potential impact, and then apply proven methods to help in the startup process.” TD Raymond, chief scientific officer at Scintellite, also praised the program, mentioning, “I looked forward to each Scale Up NM Business Model Sprint session because I knew that I’d take something valuable from each.”
