As school resumes next week for the 2024-2025 school year, Las Cruces Public Schools has provided information for parents and reminders about school supply lists, transportation, and school times.

All grades return to in-person schooling on Monday, July 22. Teachers and other building staff will return on July 15. Early childhood education students have transition days scheduled for July 24 and 25, giving parents the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher. The first official day of school for early childhood education students will be July 26.

The school day schedules are as follows:

Elementary School: 8 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.

Middle School: 8:55 a.m. to 3:55 p.m.

High School: 8:25 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.

Arrowhead Park Early College High School’s schedule remains from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year, Mesilla Valley Leadership Academy and Rio Grande Preparatory Institute aligned their schedules with other middle schools and high schools; previously they had a schedule from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A generalized school supply list was sent home last Friday, but students are advised to check with their teachers on the first day of class for specific supplies. A copy of that list, in English and Spanish, can be found here.

LCPS Superintendent Ignacio Ruiz shared a special message for students as the district prepares for the new school year.

All students will again receive free breakfast and lunch this school year. For more back-to-school information, please visit www.lcps.net.
