New Mexico State University (NMSU) has announced the recipients of its fall 2024 Outstanding Graduate Awards. Seven students, representing each college and the Graduate School, have been recognized for their academic excellence, leadership, and dedication.
The honorees include Natalia Molinar from the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences; Emma Alvarez de la Rosa from the College of Arts and Sciences; Colin Bell from the College of Business; Aryanna Llañez from the College of Engineering; Emily Young from the College of Health, Education and Social Transformation; E. Madeline Carreon from the Graduate School in the College of Health, Education and Social Transformation with a master’s degree; and Cory Cascalheira from the same graduate school with a Ph.D.
Deans and nomination committees selected these students based on their academic achievements, leadership skills, and extracurricular involvement. The awardees will be acknowledged during NMSU's fall 2024 commencement ceremonies.
Sylvia Y. Acosta, CEO of NMSU Foundation, stated: “The Alumni Association’s Outstanding Graduate Awards allow us to honor the incredible achievements of these exceptional students. They have excelled academically while showing an extraordinary dedication to creating positive change. We can’t wait to see the impact these Aggies will make on the world.”
The Outstanding Graduate Award Ceremony is considered one of NMSU's highest honors for graduating students. This semester's recipients will be celebrated at a luncheon on Friday, Dec. 13. Their accomplishments will also be highlighted on NMSU Alumni Association's website and social media platforms.
