Two separate camps will be held at the Challenger Learning Center of Las Cruces, located at the LCPS Teaching & Learning Center, 505 S. Main St., Suite 400. These camps are scheduled for February 14 and February 18, targeting students in kindergarten through second grade.

Parents or guardians must specify an authorized individual on the registration form to handle camper drop-off and pick-up. Accompanying adults must sign campers in and out of the building, presenting photo ID and being listed as authorized individuals.

Registration for the Europa Encounter Challenger Day Camps opens on February 3 at 8 a.m. Completion requires submitting a form for either camp date along with a $30 payment to the Challenger Learning Center of Las Cruces. Scholarships are available by contacting Dr. Stephanie Hofacket at shofacket@lcps.net. The deadline for registration and payment is February 12, with camp sizes limited to 16 participants each.

Payments can preferably be made by credit card over the phone; staff will call for this purpose. Checks and cash payments are also accepted in person at the center's office.

The camps aim to provide an enjoyable academic experience where students learn while having fun. Campers must adhere to rules of respectfulness, responsibility, and readiness. Parents may be contacted if disciplinary issues arise, and students should not bring toys or electronic devices as they will engage with various hands-on materials.
