Las Cruces police are currently investigating a shooting that took place on Sunday evening, leaving a man in critical condition. The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. on February 9, 2025, at the 600 block of West Picacho Avenue.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a man in his mid-20s who had been shot at least once. The victim was transported to University Medical Center of El Paso and remains in critical condition.
The suspect is described only as a male, with no further information available at this time. The Criminal Investigations Section of the Las Cruces Police Department is actively looking into the case.
