Youth groups in Las Cruces have an opportunity to earn $150 stipends by participating in a cleanup initiative organized by Keep Las Cruces Beautiful (KLCB). The stipends, funded by the New Mexico Tourism Department's Clean and Beautiful program, are available for youth groups with members aged 24 and younger.

To qualify for the stipend, groups must submit a completed vendor packet. Participants will receive gloves, bags, and grabbers from KLCB for the cleanup activities. After completing their tasks, they are required to return any unused items along with a cleanup report to KLCB's office to finalize the process.

The cleanups can take place in various locations such as streets near neighborhoods, parks, trails, or other areas needing beautification. KLCB is available to suggest areas that require attention.

Interested groups should register online at KLCB's website under the Cleanup Opportunities tab. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once registered, applicants will be contacted by the KLCB coordinator and will have one week to submit their vendor packet to secure the stipend. The payment will be processed within 30 days after project completion.
