Las Cruces Public Libraries has announced the upcoming meeting of the Branigan Book Club, set for February 25. The session will focus on the novel "James" by Percival Everett. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Kiva Room on the first floor of Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, located at 200 E. Picacho Ave., along Roadrunner Transit Route 1.
The book club convenes every fourth Tuesday of each month and typically discusses books with a serious and literary tone, covering both fiction and nonfiction genres. Future meetings include discussions on “The Women” by Kristen Hannah in March, “Beaverland: How One Weird Rodent Made America” by Leila Philip in April, and “Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers” by Jesse Q. Sutanto in May.
A limited number of these books are available for checkout to book club participants each month.
