Las Cruces Public Schools has issued a reminder to parents, students, fans, and community members about the clear bag policy in effect at its indoor and outdoor event venues. This policy was implemented last fall to streamline security processes and enhance public safety. It applies to venues including the Field of Dreams baseball and softball complexes but excludes student athletes with district-issued team bags.

The clear bag policy is based on guidelines from New Mexico State University. Permitted items include:

- Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags not exceeding 12”x 6”x 12”

- One-gallon clear plastic zipper-style freezer bags

- Small non-clear clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (not larger than 4.5”x 6.5”), with or without a handle or strap

Exceptions are made for medically necessary supplies in appropriately sized bags.

Prohibited items under this policy include:

- Purses larger than a clutch bag

- Coolers

- Briefcases

- Backpacks

- Drawstring bags

- Luggage of any kind

- Computer or camera bags (unless accompanied by a media or press pass)

- Any bag larger than the approved sizes

Guests are allowed one approved clear bag and/or one small clutch per person. Cameras and binoculars can be brought into the stadium if they are not in a bag or case. Seat cushions and blankets remain permissible, as do diaper bags when entering with a child. All items are subject to inspection.

Additionally, all ticket sales have transitioned to digital only; cash transactions are no longer accepted at any LCPS venue. Fans can purchase tickets by scanning QR codes at the gate or using iPads available for digital ticket sales.

For further details, game schedules, or online ticket purchases, individuals are encouraged to visit the LCPS Athletics page.
