A fire early Sunday morning damaged a mobile home in Las Cruces, displacing three residents and causing a temporary power outage to nearby homes. The incident occurred around 12:50 a.m. on February 16, 2025, on the 200 block of Three Crosses Avenue.

Las Cruces firefighters responded promptly to the scene, finding the mobile home engulfed in flames and heavy smoke. Firefighters contained the blaze within 30 minutes, preventing it from spreading to other nearby structures. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The heat and flames also affected an adjacent mobile home and damaged nearby power lines, leading to a temporary electrical outage for neighboring homes. El Paso Electric crews worked through the night to restore power.

The Red Cross was contacted to assist with temporary accommodations for the displaced residents. The affected mobile home sustained significant fire and smoke damage. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire or estimate the extent of damages.
