A fire broke out at a vacant home on the 1300 block of N. Alameda Boulevard in Las Cruces early Friday, March 14, 2025. The Las Cruces Fire Department was alerted to the incident shortly after 2 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found the structure engulfed in flames.
The department managed to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes despite strong winds. By around 4 a.m., firefighters had brought the blaze under control. No injuries were reported among civilians or firefighters.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no damage estimates have been provided yet.
