City of Alamogordo issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
Effective Thursday, December 24th, the Alamo Senior Center will be changing their Grab & Go pick up hours. Daily meal pick-up will be available from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm, until further notice. This is a change from the current hours of 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Although they are decreasing their serving time by half an hour, they are not decreasing their meal count. The Alamo Senior Center plans to continue to serve the same amount of meals to their consumers in the shorter pickup timeframe. It will be busy but they are ready. Again, Senior Center consumers will need to pick up meals by 12:30 pm effective Thursday, December 24th, until further notice.
Reminder, this service is available Monday - Friday in front of the Alamo Senior Center on Puerto Rico Ave. Suggested donation is $2.50 for seniors over 60 years old. If you have questions about this service or how to become an Alamo Senior Center member please call 575-439-4150.
