The installation of a new water line on Mesa Central Drive will result in a temporary water outage or reduced water pressure on Thursday, April 17. Black Canyon Construction will be conducting the tie-in for a new commercial building permit, impacting homes and businesses on Mesa Central Drive between Mesa Grande Drive and Mesa Moreno Drive. The planned interruption is expected from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
While some properties may not experience a complete outage, nearby areas might notice lower water pressure. Post-service restoration, residents might see discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Though safe to drink, officials advise waiting until the water clears before using it for laundry.
The discoloration is expected to clear within 24 hours. If it persists, residents should flush all faucets in their homes for five minutes. Continuous discoloration issues should be reported to the City at (575) 526-0500, TTY (575) 541-2182.
